Cub Scout Pack 3963 offers year-round activities for families across Jefferson Park, Portage Park,
and the Northwest Side of Chicago. From camping trips to STEM nights, our events help Scouts learn,
grow, and have fun.

Saturday, September 26 – First Nature Hike of the Season
We will begin and end at Eden Church while exploring LaBagh Woods and Forest Glen Woods by way of the Weber Spur, an old railroad trail. It is a good, long walk, so please arrive ready to hike.
What to bring
Good shoes for hiking
A water bottle filled with water
A healthy, portable snack such as trail mix, jerky, or apples
Sun protection, such as a hat or sunscreen
A small backpack for carrying your supplies
Sunday, September 27 – Popcorn Sale at Jefferson Park Farmers Market
Time: 9:30 AM–1:30 PM

Scouts can sign up for a shift to sell popcorn at the Jefferson Park Farmers Market. Sign-up times are available throughout the market's four-hour window.

New families should send the Pack their Scout's T-shirt size by October 2 so the Class B uniform order can be placed. Pack dues are $50, plus $10 for a Class B shirt if needed.
Saturday, October 3 – Den Meetings, Pushmobile Practice, and Popcorn Sales

Scouts will meet by den, practice for the Pushmobile Race, and participate in door-to-door popcorn sales.
October 10–12 – Fall Camping Trip at White Pines
Time: Weekend overnight trip

White Pines State Park, Illinois
Our annual Fall Camping Trip is one of the biggest adventures of the year! Scouts and families will enjoy hiking, campfire cooking, outdoor skills, nature exploration, and time together in one of Illinois' most beautiful state parks. This is a perfect opportunity for new families to experience Cub Scout camping.

Saturday, November 14 – Friendship Place Service Opportunity

Liz is organizing a Friendship Place service opportunity, especially for younger Scouts. This may also be a good alternative for families who cannot participate in Sunday's Forest Preserve Stewardship Day. Additional details will be shared closer to the date.
Sunday, November 15 – Forest Preserve Stewardship Day
Pack families will volunteer during the Forest Preserves' official stewardship work day. A group waiver has been submitted, and each participant will complete an individual waiver on-site. Additional activity details will be shared closer to the date.
Saturday, November 21 – Raingutter Regatta, Awards, and Potluck

Pack 3963 will welcome Pack 3957 for the Raingutter Regatta in Eden Church's fellowship hall. The morning will also include a brief awards and Bobcat ceremony followed by a potluck lunch.
